Postal Dept launches special envelope

A special envelope on the 2nd T20 International match between India and New Zealand was released today at JSCA Stadium, Ranchi by Amitabh Choudhary, former President, JSCA, on Thursday. On this occasion, CEO, AK Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Jharkhand, Jaleshwar Kahar, Director Postal Services, Jharkhand, Satyakam, Senior Superintendent of Posts, Assistant Director (Philately), Circle Office, Ranchi Amit Kumar, Assistant Superintendent of Posts (South), Ranchi, Shantanu Azad, Deepak Kumar, Inspector of Posts, Harishchandra Ram etc were present. JSCA Stadium, Ranchi is hosting the 2nd T20 International match between India and New Zealand on Friday.

 

Selection trial for SAIL Cricket Team

For selection of players in SAIL Units Sports Club, Ranchi cricket team, selection trial has been organized on 26-27 November, 2021 at SAIL Satellite Township Ground (Near DPS). It may be noted that SAIL Units Sports Club cricket team participates in Senior Division League and other competitions organized by Ranchi District Cricket Association. Cricket players who are interested for selection in this team have been invited to appear on 26th November at 8.00 am in the ground of SAIL Satellite Township (near DPS). Interested players should report the above date to KP Patra at 8.00 AM. In the light of the Amrit Mahotsav year of Azadi, preference will be given to young players representing the state level or district level Under-19 cricket team this year.

 

SBPS bags Green School Award 2021

Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi has been honoured with Green School Award 2021. This award was presented to our school at the 5th Green School Conference 2021 held at New York, USA virtually for the role the school is playing for the development of the children and the society as a whole. The School Head Personnel & Admin Dr. Pradip Varma congratulated the school fraternity for this remarkable achievement. The Principal, Paramjit Kaur appreciated the efforts put in by all the stakeholders and congratulated them for the achievement. It is the result of the hard work of the whole team, which is working together towards a common goal, she added.

 

Inter-School Cricket Championship-2021

Inter School Cricket Championship was organised by the Department of Sports and Civil Amenities at BSL Cricket Stadium. The cricket match was inaugurated by the Chief General Manager-in-Charge (Jharkhand Group of Mines) J Dasgupta. During the cricket match, GM (Town Administration, Water Supply) AK Avinash, GM (Liaison & Administration) NA Saifi, Senior Manager (Sports & Civil Amenities) S. Rajak, Tournament Coordinator Manoj Kumar Jha along with Cricket players and cricket lovers of Ramrudra High School Chas, GGPS Chas, Sardar Patel Public School and Ayappa Public School were present. Two matches were played during the tournament. In the match played between Ramrudra High School Chas and GGPS Chas, Ramrudra High School Chas remained winner. In the second match, Sardar Patel Public School, batting first against Ayappa Public School won the match. A total of 12 school teams, including BSL, are participating in this competition, which will run till November 24.
