K NAGAR DAV CELEBRATES BC PATTNAIK BIRTHDAY    

Bhubaneswar: The DAV Public School, Kalinga Nagar celebrated the 94th birth anniversary of its founder-chairman and one of the forerunners of DAV movement in Odisha Late Er BC Pattnaik on Wednesday. School Principal Bipin Kumar Sahoo and teachers offered floral tributes to Pattnaik. In the commemorative creative writing competition held among students of the DAV Schools of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, Sanat Kumar Mishra of LR DAV, Cuttack, bagged the first position in English and Swarnavo Ghose of DAV, Pokhariput, stood second. In Odia language, the first position was clinched by Tanvi Mallick of DAV, Chandrasekharpur while Srishikta Rath of DAV, Pokhariput, was the second.

WORLD SCIENCE DAY OBSERVED AT STPI 

Bhubaneswar: The Software Technology Parks of India-Bhubaneswar organised visit of schools on the World Science Day on November 10. Around hundred students from two reputed city schools, DAV CSpur and Sai International, visited the STPI ELITE facility and witnessed modern state-of-the-art facilities like Electropreneur Park (ESDM Incubation), Digital Fabrication Lab and Tier III Data Centre which are being set up to promote start-ups and innovation and cater to the need of IT exporting units, start-ups, professional, students and researchers in the State.

DALMIA CEMENT DISTRIBUTES TEST PAPERS TO STUDENTS 

Sundargarh: The CSR wing of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited has started distributing preparatory test papers among Class-X students on Wednesday. As classroom teaching shifted to online coaching due to Covid-19 pandemic, general studies of students were disrupted. Seeing the reality, the company decided to reach out to these students at their time of need. The company aims to provide test papers to at least 600 students for their preparation for the upcoming board examinations. Company Rajgangpur unit head Chetan Srivastav distributed sample test papers to students of the Kesharmal High School.

WORKSHOP ON HUMAN RIGHTS HELD IN B’PUR 

Brahmapur: A Ganjam district-level workshop on human rights was held here being chaired by district coordinator Dr Meenakshi Das. State convenor Rajib Patnaik inaugurated the workshop and underlined the need for greater awareness among people. Later, district convener Narayan Mohankuda conducted training for representatives of different blocks. The meeting was also attended by Press Club president Biswanath Patnaik, advocate Subash Chandra Palo, district assistant convener Krushna Kumar Pradhan, Sara Mishra, Reshma Rani Sethi and Bhikari Nayak.

ZIQITZA HEALTHCARE HOLDS BLOOD DONATION CAMP 

Bhubaneswar: The Ziqitza Healthcare Ltd, responsible for operating agency of 108 ambulance and 104 health helpline service in the State, organised a blood donation camp at IDCO Tower here on Wednesday. As many as 100 crew members and employees participated and donated blood voluntarily. Renowned sand artist Padma Shri Sudarshan Pattnaik, NHM Director Shalini Pandit joined as guests.
