Quadruple murder: Tuition teacher sexually assaulted before death

Even after 48 hours since 42-year-old Tata Steel employee Deepak Kumar killed his three family members and a tuition teacher at Kadma, the police are yet to trace the killer.

Meanwhile, the postmortem report has suspected sexual assault on the teacher identified as Rinky Ghosh. Her viscera have been sent to Ranchi-based forensic science laboratory for further investigation. During the investigation, the police also found a towel with stains of semen over it.   

According to information, four separate teams have been set up to nab Deepak and detect the case conclusively, but as of now the same are yet to trace the killer. “ The teams are conducting a search operation to nab the prime accused. We had put Deepak's cellphone number on surveillance and have found his last location somewhere in Bistupur, but the cellphone is now switched off. We are confident to nab him soon,” said a police official.

OC, Kadma police station, Manoj Kumar Thakur said that  the tuition teacher Rinky Ghosh was the last person to be murdered. "Moreover, Rinku was found lying in semi-nude condition. From her apparel we suspect that Deepak might have raped her before killing her, " said Thakur.

After killing his wife, two minor daughters and the 22-year-old tuition teacher at his residence in Tista road in Kadma, Deepak had called his friend Roshan Kumar to drop in at his place for lunch. Roshan who is a resident of Telco had come along with his wife, brother-in-law and a toddler daughter at Kadma. But Deepak who was in a killing spree had also attacked his friend and the friend' brother-in-law Ankit Kumar with a hammer, leading to grievous injuries to Roshan and Ankit.

Both Ankit and Roshan are undergoing treatment at Tata Main Hospital, where the condition of Ankit (28) is said to be serious. Roshan managed to escape from Deepak's residence along with his wife, toddler daughter and brother-in-law had informed Deepak's brother-in-law Binod Kumar, leading the latter to inform the police.
