Santoor recital, Bhakti Gayan performed under ‘Gamak’ series

nThe Bhopalites enjoyed Santoor recital and Bhakti Gaan on Monday. The performances were held under Gamak series at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal University YouTube Channel.

On Monday, under the series Directorate of Culture - Bhopal's 'Santoor Vadan' by Ninad Adhikari and group, and Shubham Yadav and group, Bhopal performed 'Bhakti Gaan'.

In the first presentation, santoor recital was presented by Ninad Adhikari in which he played Raga Puriya Kalyan, Aalap, Taal Rupak and Gat were presented in Teen Taal.

In the presentation Dushyant Rupaulia gave accompaniment on tabla.

Ninad's rich family legacy has played an important role in his musical development journey. His mother Shruti Adhikari, singer associated with the singing tradition of Gwalior Gharana, Prof. Sangeeta Kathale and Sitar player Late. Daughter of D.Y.Kathale and grand-daughter of singer Pt.Balabhau Udekar Kundalguru, the last court singer of Gwalior royal court, the country's leading santoor player and Padmavibhushan is a senior disciple of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma.

Ninad has performed on many prestigious forums of the country.

The second presentation was given by  Shubham Yadav and his companions 'Bhakti sangeet', in which he oresented Ganesh Vandana, followed with hymn - Apno Ko Naiyan Re, Ram Bhajan  Ram Ras , chale Ram Raghurayi and Ramayana songs.

In the presentation, on Chorus and Jhinka - Sanjay Yadav and Rajesh Malviya gave accompaniment. on Dholak Harish Vishwakarma, on Harmonium Mahendra Singh Chauhan and on Manjira Asharam Sharma and Bhupendra Sharma gave accompaniment.

Shubham Yadav did his early education in music from his father Balaram Yadav, Randhir Singh followed by Harinarayan Sharma. Shubham Yadav has been performing on many prestigious forums of the state for the last twenty years.
