The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) on Tuesday in a general meeting decided to put out a call to the public in election bound States to punish the anti-farmer, anti-poor policies of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).
Addressing a Press conference at Singhu Border, one of the main protesting site of farmers, the SKM said on March 6, marking 100 days of protest, the SKM will block KMP expressway for 5-hour.
“This will be between 11am and 4 pm. There will be free toll plazas while in other parts of the country, the day will be marked by flying black flags on houses and offices to signify support to the movement, and to protest against the government,” said the SKM leaders.
“On March 15, along with Central Trade Unions who are marking the day as 'anti-privatisation' day, SKM will support the call of trade unions by marking the day as 'anti-corporatisation' day, and extend solidarity to the protests of Trade Unions on that day all over India,” they said.
“Representatives of SKM will also visit in election-bound states to put out a call to the public to punish the anti-farmer, anti-poor policies of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP),” said the leaders
“SKM will launch a "MSP Dilao Abhiyan" all over India. As part of the campaign, the reality of price discovery of farmers in different markets will be showcased. The campaign will be initiated in the south indian states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to begin with. Farmers all over the country are invited to join this campaign,” they said.
