Two persons were killed while two others escaped with injuries after a loading auto rickshaw and truck rammed head-on near Ganesh Mandir under Hanumanganj police station area in the wee hours on Sunday.
Two persons travelling in the loading auto rickshaw died while two escaped after the four were taken to hospital after their vehicle was hit by truck bearing registration number MP04HE4279 at Chola road.
The deceased were identified as Gopal Das (32) and Anand Bankar (20) while the two who escaped with injuries were Aman Jaat and Sunny Sahu.
After the preliminary investigation the bodies was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started further investigation.
The locals informed the police and on the receipt of the information police team rushed to the spot and started investigation. Police have not found any details of the driver who escaped the spot after the accident leaving the truck.
The truck got damaged after hitting the loading auto rickshaw and hit boundary wall. The loading auto rickshaw was damaged badly which was carrying vegetables from the wholesale vegetable market.
Police have started investigation regarding the accident as it was not clear that the truck driver was on fault or some technical fault of the truck caused the accident.
