Ranchi Rail Division (RRD) launched many passenger-friendly facilities at Ranchi Station on Sunday.
A lift has been installed to move from retiring room to the first floor for the convenience for specially-abled travelers. Apart from this, many other facilities have been provided by the railway. Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth and Ranchi MLA CP Singh inaugurated these facilities on Sunday.
Seth said on the occasion that the facilities provided for the passengers by the railways are praiseworthy. It is expected that more facilities will be increased in the coming time. Ranchi Station has made a good effort in terms of cleanliness and opening of trains on time. It needs to be maintained even further. On the occasion, DRM Neeraj Ambastha, DCM Avnish, CPRO Neeraj Kumar and many other railway officials, RPF team was also present.
Seth and Singh jointly inaugurated the waiting room with the lift facility, following the Puja. Apart from this, the new Parcel House, Warehouse Office was also inaugurated. The railway platform has been raised higher than before. Earlier it was slightly low, which made it difficult for the passengers to get into the train. The MP and the MLA expressed satisfaction over this and said that it would be useful in terms of safety and convenience of the passengers.
The MP appealed to the Railways to be careful about the danger of Corona crisis. He said that passengers also should need to take necessary precautions during railway travel. He also appealed to the elderly people to get the Corona vaccine.
On the occasion of inauguration of passenger facilities, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations), MM Pandit, Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination), Amit Kanchan, Senior Divisional Operations Manager cum Chief Public Relations Officer, Neeraj Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Avnish, Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (General), Kuldeep Kumar, Senior Divisional Signal and Telecom Engineer, S Oraon, Divisional Commercial Manager, Dr Devraj Banerjee and other officers and employees were present at Ranchi Railway Station.
