Welham Boys’ student wins squash championship

Ansh Tripathi, a Welham Boys School student has won a three-day national level squash championship organised at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh (UP). This championship was organised under the aegis of the Directorate of Sports of UP and Allahabad Squash Racquet Association at Amitabh Bachchan Sports Complex from November 12 to 14. Over 170 players from seven states participated in the competition. The Dehradun student Ansh Tripathi won the championship in the Under-17 category by defeating the former national champion Yuvraj Wadhwani from Maharashtra with a score of 3-1. The winner was rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 23,500.
