Woman who duped four dozen women over bank loans held

Talaiya police have booked  a fraudster woman who had duped over 4 dozen women of lakhs of rupees on the name of availing loan; employees and officials of NBFC companies would also be booked in the case, said police.

According to the police, Snehlata used to facilitate loan from 8 different NBFC companies and would collect loan in her account and provide some money to the victim.

Police have found that around 200 women are in contact with the accused and possible she had duped all those women who have availed loan through her.

The fraud with over 4 dozen women surfaced after Sumanlata Rathore lodged complaint regarding the fraud with the member of groups formed from the year 2013. The accused would collect bank pass book, UID, EIC and other documents and avail loan in the name of providing goods and material for women.

She would facilitate availing of loan from NBFC’s at Lalghati, Trilanga, Minal Residency and Shahjehanabad areas. With the help of employees and officials of NBFC she would avail loan of Rs 40000 to Rs 70000 and collect money in her account and to the victim she would provide money in the range of Rs 5000 to Rs 10000 and accordingly she would collect EMI and interest of that amount. Her financial condition weaken during lockdown and she failed to deposit EMI and interest due to which agents of NBFC started to visit the women who availed loan and matter surfaced.

The police have registered a case under section 420 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
