Working group for enhancing Chhattisgarhi culture

A Task Force formed to conserve Chhattisgarhi art, culture, archaeology and tourism on Wednesday decided to form working groups.

In a meeting held at Yojana Bhawan, its Chairperson Vinod Verma, who is also advisor to the Chief Minister, said a report will be prepared after consulting experts and the recommendations will be presented to the state government.

He stressed the need to form a work plan for various programmes prescribed by the Chhattisgarh Sanskriti Parishad, Adivasi Lok Kala Academy and Lalit Kala Academy.

The Culture Expert at the Indian Institute of Science, Bitasa Das, underlined the need to  patronize folk artists.

Dr Kalyan Chakraborty, a former Chairman of Lalit Kala Academy, Delhi, gave several suggestions on conserving the fine arts in Chhattisgarh.
