The first day of the Iconic celebrations under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav saw an amazing potpourri of Innovations of Circular Economy, Swachchhta Drive and Rural buttressing of Steel Usage efforts.
A novel way to commemorate AKAM in lines of Circular Economy & Sustainable Development; efforts at RDCIS culminated today in the form of a boundary wall at SAIL township made up of 5000 Fly Ash-Slag bricks by optimal recipe developed by RDCIS. Asish Chakraborty, ED(SSO) & N. Pradhan, CGM(S&R,C&E) graced the occasion.
A cleanliness drive was undertaken by MTI under the Swachh Bharat Initiative. All the employees participated in cleaning the outside area around the MTI Campus. The campaign was led by Sanjeev Kumar, ED (HRD), MTI and Ashish Chakraborty, ED, SSO. Also another campaign for Swachchhta was taken by RDCIS in Satellite township. To buttress the steel usage in Rural Area a lecture was organized in association with Sri Sri Vidya Mandir (VVKI) in village Kudri of Torpa amongst 200 villagers comprising Mukhiyas, Pradhans, Ward members and also rural steel fabricators. The SAIL CSR team assured the villagers all support for their steel demand in future. For tomorrow webinars are planned: Pan-India in the Forenoon and Pan-Jharkhand in the Afternoon.
