The grand series of events National Vanmali Katha Award Ceremony will begin from Friday.
Under 'Vishwa Rang', Vanmali Creation Peeth, Bhopal Rabindranath Tagore University, AISECT Publication will felicitate all the selected creators in the three-day 'Vanmali Katha Samman Samaroh' organized at Rabindra Bhavan.
While addressing the media persons on Thursday, senior poet-story writer Santosh Choubey said that this time the awards will be given in eight different categories. He further said that this award ceremony is organised as a tribute to well-known storyteller, educationist and thinker Jagannath Prasad Choubey, the national president of 'Vanmali Srijan Peeth', for his dedicated creative contribution.
While disclosing the awards, he informed that well-known critic Professor Dhananjay Verma (Ujjain) will be awarded with the first 'Vanmali Kathasheersha Samman'.
Senior story writer Geetanjali Shree (Delhi) will be honored with 'Vanmali National Story Award'. Both the litterateurs will be honored with award, a shawl, shriphal and an honorarium of Rs one lakh.
'Vanmali Katha Madhya Pradesh Samman' senior story writer Hari Bhatnagar (Bhopal), 'Vanmali Yuva Katha Samman' young story writer Chandan Pandey, (Bangalore), 'Vanmali Katha Criticism Award' young critic Shri Vaibhav Singh (Delhi), 'Vanmali Literary Magazine' The 'Samman' will be given to the famous monthly magazine 'Kathadesh' published from Delhi.
It is worth mentioning that the first 'Vanmali Pravasi Bharatiya Katha Samman' will be presented to senior story writer Divya Mathur (London) and the first 'Vanmali Vigyan Katha Samman' will be conferred to senior science writer Devendra Mewari (Delhi). As Purva Rang Kabir Gayan will be performed on Thursday. Also a play Aadmi aur Kutta will be staged on the same day.
