Going full throttle to wrest Sangrur parliamentary seat once again, Aam Aadmi Party’s campaign will see Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann holding road shows for the party candidate Gurmail Singh in the run up to June 23 polls.
AAP’s state in-charge Jarnail Singh on Tuesday held a meeting to review the preparations for Mann’s road show. Also, to ensure the record victory of party’s candidate, he also held a brainstorming session with the party workers to discuss strategies ahead of the election. Attacking the opposition parties, Jarnail Singh blamed the Congress and SAD, BJP for annihilating the future of Punjab by patronising drug smugglers, sand mining, cable mafia, and gangster culture.
“The opposition is now putting all blame on the AAP Government for the alleged deterioration of law and order, which formed government just three months back, while notorious criminals were groomed under their regime for decades,” he said.
Jarnail Singh said that Sangrur is AAP’s bastion, and considering Chief Minister Mann’s hard work, the people of the constituency will again ensure AAP’s win with a thumping margin.
Notably, Mann had remained a two-time MP from Sangrur seat — in 2014 and 2019. The seat fell vacant after Mann resigned as MP following his election from Dhuri constituency in the state assembly elections, held early this year.
