Chief Minister Hemant Soren today announced that by the end of this month, 25 thousand teachers will be appointed in the State. He said that on this day an important step has been taken in the direction of education. Today 80 excellent schools have been inaugurated at the state level. In the coming time, 5,000 more schools in Jharkhand will be upgraded as Utkrisht Vidyalaya (School of Excellence). The principals and teachers of all the excellence schools have been provided training by the state government according to the CBSE course from IIMs.
The CM said that providing quality education to the children of all classes and communities including Jharkhand's tribals, Dalits, backward, labourers and farmers is one of the top priorities of the government. The CM was addressing the state-level inauguration ceremony of 80 schools of excellence organized by the School Education and Literacy Department here on Tuesday.
The CM said that education is such a weapon through which everything can be achieved. For the betterment of education in Jharkhand, such work should have been done first on priority basis, which is starting very late. He said that today we talk about converting only 4 to 5 thousand schools into schools of excellence, while there are more than 35 thousand schools in Jharkhand. The way in which the situation of education remained in these schools for years, now the work is being done to change it.
The CM said that we have tried to add a new dimension in the field of education. Our government has resolved the problems of para teachers pending for years. Reforms in the education system are the need of the hour. Today is the era of competition. In this era of competition, it is very important to provide better education to the children studying in state schools. He said that then Education Minister Jagannath Mahato ji, who is no longer with us, has also been making constant efforts for the betterment of education. Today, on this occasion, we bow down to him. Today, in the first phase, 80 excellent schools have been inaugurated. But from the information I have received, there are still many schools, where some work is left. The department should definitely complete those works within the time period.
The CM said that there is a shortage of teachers in the schools of the state. Due to many hindrances, many obstacles, teachers could not be appointed. But this problem has been solved. About 25,000 teachers are to be appointed by the end of this month. He said that there is a management committee inside the school to run the schools. All of them will be requested to play an important role in better education in excellent schools so that the schools can be run better. Government can provide infrastructure, teachers, books, clothes, arrangements. The Management Committee should ensure that better education is provided to the schools with all these resources.
Soren said that today the work of teaching and learning on the lines of CBSE is starting in 80 excellent schools, but many more milestones have to be crossed. We talk about providing better education to the poor. They talk about giving good education to tribals, dalits and backward people. But the system of imparting education in two rooms has been going on since before. It's like making a mockery of it somewhere. Today, apart from that, the government has developed excellent schools on the lines of private schools for better education.
The CM said that the government is working on education. Children are being given 100 per cent scholarships for higher education. Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana is being run so that children do not drop out, along with this, our government has come up with Eklavya Training Scheme, Chief Minister's Incentive Education Scheme, Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme. The government has come up with these schemes so that the children do not face any problem in education due to money.
The CM said that the government will bear all the expenses of the children who aspire to become engineers, doctors, lawyers and judges after passing out of school. You didn't stop studying. The government is giving you all the arrangements. Our government will also give assistance to the boys and girls of the state for coaching for the preparation of competitive exams.
On this occasion, the CM inaugurated the newly constructed building of Thakur Vishwanath Shahdev High School Jagannathpur and inaugurated the website. He made an online inauguration of 80 excellent schools and formal announcement of enrollment in these schools. On the occasion, the CM handed over the CBSE affiliation certificate of Thakur Vishwanath Shahdev High School Jagannathpur to the head of the school. On this occasion, the Soren also had a direct interaction through online medium with the children of excellent schools launched today in Seraikela, Dumka, Lohardaga, Giridih and East Singhbhum districts.
