Dhankar lauds Hry CM’s Global Efforts in Spreading Gita's Wisdom

In a commendation of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's unwavering commitment to promote the teachings of Bhagavad Gita on a global scale, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday hailed the Chief Minister's initiatives during the eighth International Gita Mahotsav. The event, hosted at Kurukshetra University, showcased the collaborative efforts of the states, with Assam as this year's partner.

 

Dhankhar, addressing a seminar as part of the Mahotsav, praised Khattar as a true follower of the Gita, commending his transparent governance marked by integrity and accountability. The Vice-President acknowledged the Chief Minister's efforts to translate Gita's wisdom into tangible actions at the grassroots level, exemplified by providing job opportunities to rural children based on merit.

 

The inauguration ceremony, attended by dignitaries including CM Khattar and Rajya Sabha MP Dr Sudhanshu Trivedi, emphasized the universal values of the Gita. Dhankhar underscored the alignment of the current Central Government with Gita Governance principles, lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to righteousness and duty.

 

Khattar, addressing the gathering, described the Gita as not merely a book but the essence of life, emphasizing its universal and eternal relevance. He expressed joy over the eighth consecutive celebration of the International Gita Mahotsav, highlighting its role in spreading the message of the Gita globally.

 

Haryana Chief Minister commended PM Modi's role in international affairs, drawing parallels between his conduct and the principles of Lord Shri Ram and Shri Krishna. The Chief Minister revealed invitations from various countries to host the International Gita Festival and proposed the establishment of a Regional Center for English and Foreign Languages.

 

Rajya Sabha MP Dr Sudhanshu Trivedi and Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand Maharaj also addressed the seminar, unveiling a souvenir containing 448 research papers. The Vice President, along with other dignitaries, expressed optimism about the transformative power of the Gita's teachings and urged citizens to contribute to India's development during the Amrit Kaal, envisioning a developed nation by 2047.
