The aim of the state government is to have planned development of the cities. Subject-experts were called to discuss the budget required to meet this target. With this, necessary suggestions will be available regarding the budget as well as the policy. Suggestions can also be given. Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh said this in a discussion on the budget in Directorate of Urban Administration and Development.
Singh said that it is the result of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s development policy that today Madhya Pradesh is number one in the country in terms of cleanliness and PM Swanidhi Yojana. Remarkable achievements have also been made in other schemes.
Singh said that the development of the state is reflected only by the development of the cities. He said that a one-day workshop would also be held to discuss the policies of the department. Mayor of Bhopal Municipal Corporation Smt. Malti Rai said that the amount of octroi compensation should be received on time.
The amount of tax charges pending in various departments should also be received on time.
Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Neeraj Mandloi said that this meeting has been organised with the aim of making the budget people-oriented. He said that the concept of the department is that the bodies should be autonomous. It should also be decided which works are to be given priority in the budget.
Commissioner Urban Administration and Development Bharat Yadav apprised about departmental schemes in a presentation. He informed that a budget of Rs 19 thousand 867 crore has been proposed in the year 2023-24.
