In line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s mission to make Uttar Pradesh a state with the best health services, the government has set out to upgrade hospitals in the state capital by equipping them with state-of-the-art machinery and facilities.
In this sequence, preparations are underway to equip Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, SPM (Civil) Hospital, Sanjay Gandhi Post-graduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Balrampur Hospital with modern equipment.
It is noteworthy that under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a detailed action plan was prepared for upgradation of government hospitals to improve health services in the state. The implementation of this plan has now begun.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak had also announced that Balrampur Hospital would be equipped with modern facilities. Consequently, the process of upgrading the surgery department of Balrampur Hospital with modern facilities has commenced.
In this regard, more than Rs 2.50 crore has been released by the state government to complete the upgradation process, after administrative and financial approval.
Through this upgradation process, there is preparation to update more than 109 surgery equipment categories in the surgery department of the hospital. This includes equipment such as 10 electro-surgical generators worth Rs 28 lakh, generators footswitches, and laparoscopic units worth Rs 25 lakh.
Additionally, the purchase of furniture and other furnishings suitable for the decor of wards will be facilitated. The items to be purchased for the decor, as part of the upgradation process, range from Rs 480 to Rs 28 lakh.
After the completion of the process, patients receiving treatment in the hospital will benefit, and there will be a reduction in inconvenience for the medical staff as well.
