Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday announced to hold the next meeting of the Council of Ministers in Mansa on June 10 (Saturday), under the Government’s ambitious ‘Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’ programme.
This would be the third Cabinet meeting, under the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led State government, to be held outside the state capital.
Under the new initiative and taking the government at people’s doorstep, the Chief Minister had announced holding the Cabinet meetings not in the Civil Secretariat, but in various cities of the State.
As per the Chief Minister’s announcement, the Cabinet Ministers, after holding the meeting, would stay in the same city for the day virtually bringing the entire government at the people’ doorstep — listening to the people’s complaints and resolving the same at the earliest.
Under the same initiative, the previous Cabinet meetings were held in Ludhiana on April 28, and in Jalandhar on May 17.
