Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday released the second instalment of unemployment allowance but underlined that he would be very happy if these youths were employed.
He virtually released Rs 32.35 crore to 1.05 lakh beneficiaries at his official residence here.
“The state government is continuously releasing vacancies for government jobs with focus on skill development. The unemployment allowance is just a small contribution that can help you to achieve your goals,” an official communication quoting him as saying.
He said the economic circumstances of families involved as labourers, engaged in agriculture and small businesses varies. The families provide them education but still remain on financial support.
The unemployment allowance provides significant financial support to the youths to prepare for competitive exams and other similar activities.
Even the state government has waived off examination fees for competitive examinations organized by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board and Public Service Commission, he added.
He said with skill training, the government is opening new opportunities through Rural Industrial Parks (RIPA) where they can establish small-scale cottage industries.
He added that Chhattisgarh has the lowest unemployment rate in the country today. The status will be maintained in future also.
