Launching a frontal attack against MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh, Congress candidate from Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha constituency Choudhary Lal Singh on Sunday alleged despite occupying a ministerial berth in the Prime Minister’s Office for two successive terms he miserably failed to alleviate the suffering of the common people of his Parliamentary constituency.
Addressing a series of street corner meetings in Kathua Choudhary Lal Singh claimed from unemployed youth to senior citizens, farmers, industrialists, small traders, builders, and women folk all are running from pillar to post with high hopes but the sitting Member Parliament never met them or granted them an audience to listen to their genuine grievances. Addressing a street corner meeting in the Seswan village of Barnoti in Kathua, Lal Singh said the old age pension of a large number of senior citizens including widows has not been released pending formalities (life certificate), the rate of unemployment is on the rise, drug mafia is flourishing in the region under the watch of this government. Raising the issue of the absence of MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh, Lal Singh asked residents to elect a public representative who is present among them and not in the habit of issuing sermons from New Delhi.
