‘Ganjam neglected in all fronts by BJD Govt’

Saturday, 13 April 2024 | PNS | BRAHMAPUR

BJP’s Brahmapur Lok Sabha candidate Dr Pradeep Kumar Panigrahi has stated that this time the election will be fought on issues.

For the negligence and inefficiency of the existing Government for the last many years, people of Brahmapur LS constituency couldn't get their legitimate rights from Delhi Darbar, alleged Dr Panigrahy. There is a shortage of doctors in the MKCG Medical College Hospital. Patients are being treated on the floor. For common health problems, people have to proceed to Bhubaneswar, Cuttack or Vishakapatnam, he charged.

Not only in health, but the same worst situation is experienced in the education field. There are no teachers in Khallikote College and other Government colleges. Only buildings are nicely coloured. Steps taken to improve the quality of education have yielded a zero. Though the Home Department is with the Chief Minister, maximum crime is committed in Ganjam district. In place of controlling crime, law and order, the police are remaining busy in controlling BJD politics, he alleged further.

Taking a swipe at the police, Dr Panigrahi said the police are threatening opposite party members at the behest of the ruling BJD. Not only police, even the officers are also meddling in politics. He said he has brought all these to the knowledge of the Election Commission and requested for their intervention. He further assured that, this time, there will be a double engine Government in Odisha and appealed one and all to vote for BJP.

District president Dr Subash Sahu, chief of State BJP media cell and head of Brahmapur Lok Sabha Kshetra Ashok Mishra, State media centre coordinator Sujit Kumar Das, State spokesman Anil Biswal, Brahmapur Assembly candidate K Anil Kumar, Odia cine star and Digapahandi candidate Sidhant Mohapatra, Gopalpur candidate Bibhuti Bhusan Jena, Chatarpur candidate Krushna Chandra Nayak, Brahmapur LS coordinator Saroj Sabata, Pravat Kiran Sadangi and media cell advisor Sunil Kumar Sahu were present.
