The 133rd birth anniversary of the creator of the Constitution of India and Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar was celebrated with traditional joy and enthusiasm at BHEL, Bhopal. SM Ramanathan, Executive Director, BHEL Bhopal was present as the Chief Guest in the program. B K Singh, General Manager (HR) presided over the programme. In the program, all the General Managers and S A Dongre, Additional General Manager and Liaison Officer SC (BHEL, Bhopal), executive members of Joint Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and OBC Employees Welfare Association garlanded the statue of Babasaheb. Representatives of various trade unions and a large number of employees were also present in the program.
Ramanathan said that 14th April is a golden day in the history of India. Babasaheb was not just an extraordinary individual, but an era pioneer who created a new modern India. Baba Saheb did unprecedented work in changing the social structure. Baba Saheb wanted to build an India which would be the most powerful in the world, would lead the entire world and its people would be powerful and independent from the social, political and economic point of view. He always emphasized that no person is above the country. Let us all unite and work hard shoulder to shoulder, selflessly for the progress of the country. Baba Saheb dedicated his entire life for the progress of the country and society. His message was "Educate, Agitate, Organise." He said that we all should take inspiration from the life of Babasaheb and fulfill his dreams to build a powerful India.
On this occasion, Singh said that the creator of the Constitution, Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, has included all the dimensions in the Constitution for proper justice and upliftment of every class and religion. Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was an ardent patriot, while on the other hand he was also a savior of the oppressed, women and the poor. Baba Saheb's inspirational life is exemplary for countless people. He was a true nation builder and global leader who established new dimensions of social justice.
In the end, certificates were given to the SC/ST and OBC meritorious students studying in schools of the township who secured first, second and third positions followed by Buddha Vandana.
