The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday launched the 'Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se' (Respond to the jail with your vote) theme ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, appealing to the public to fight against the dictatorship of the BJP and to support Arvind Kejriwal by giving him votes.  The announcement comes a day after the party held a daylong fasting protest to express solidarity with their leader Arvind Kejriwal.

 Addressing a press conference on Monday, AAP MP Sandeep Pathak, said "As you all saw that Kejriwal ji was put in jail to keep him away from the elections. Kejriwal ji spent his entire life struggling for the people. He considered all people of Delhi as his family and made arrangements for best education, health, electricity and water for all."

“It is the first time that a sitting chief minister has been arrested during the Lok Sabha polls. We are launching the campaign ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se’ (Respond to the jail with your vote) and we want you to empower Kejriwal,” announced AAP leader Sandeep Pathak, who along with party senior leader Sanjay Singh, Gopal Rai and Pankaj Gupta, launched the party’s campaign. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, also appealed to the people to recall Shri Arvind Kejriwal's face when they go to vote. He stated “Whenever you go out to cast your votes, remember to look at Arvind Kejriwal’s face.

“Take a look at the electricity bill which has been reduced down to a zero. Take a look at your child’s face, who used to go to dilapidated school and is now studying in air-conditioned classroom, look at the Mohalla clinic which now provides free medicines and free tests for all the treatments and tests, see your daughter’s and sister’s face who travels free and safely in the buses, and also the faces of the elderly people in your family for whom Kejriwal became their Shravan Kumar and made their wishes of ‘Teerth Yatra’ true, also remember the ‘Farishtey Scheme’ that he formulated…Keep all these things in mind before stepping out to cast your vote on May 25,” he said.

The new campaign comes a month after Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on March 8 launched the party’s Lok Sabha national campaign, ‘Sansad Me Bhi Kejriwal, Toh Delhi Hogi Aur Khushhal’ (If Kejriwal is in Parliament too, the city will be more fulfilled).
