In the fraud case of Rs 19.48 crore in Rajiv Gandhi Technological University (RGPV) Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has complained to the university management against the then registrar in-charge of the university, Dr. Suresh Singh Kushwaha. In which he has alleged that the Registrar passed the bill for the furniture which never reached the university.
Not only this, irregularities were also committed in the purchase of the laptop. But, another committee was formed in the university. In which an attempt has been made to save them.
Whereas the matter had been investigated at the government level. In which he was found guilty. The Ministry of Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment had also written a letter to the university saying that the Registrar in-charge Suresh Kushwaha was involved in corruption.
The investigation conducted at the government level also revealed that bills for purchasing laptops were raised in which there were many irregularities. Mention has been made of increasing the honorarium of temporary professors, which has not gone into their accounts.
At the same time, without following any rule and procedure, many people of the college were put on deputation. The university has also caused revenue loss by paying more salary to the employees who came on deputation than what they received from their parent institute.
In the matter, ABVP said that the Additional Secretary of the Technical Education Department had written a letter on March 5, 2022, on the basis of the investigation report against the then Vice Chancellor of the University, Sunil Kumar Kushwaha. In which disciplinary action was directed against him. Despite this, he was released after re-examination. No action has been taken on this yet.
According to Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the then Vice Chancellor did not accept the report of the inquiry committee constituted at the government level, and a committee was constituted on 16 March 2022 to examine the said report at the university level. In which two professors working in the university were appointed. It was amazing.
The committee, in its sham action, whitewashed the complaints received in the investigation report and gave a clean chit to the then in-charge Registrar on July 5, 2022. After which the then Vice Chancellor tried to absolve Dr. Kushwaha through a letter dated 2 September 2022 to the Principal Secretary of the Technical Education Department. After which no action was taken against them.
