Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that religious and spiritual tourism will be promoted on priority. Domestic tourism has increased after Mahakal Lok in Ujjain was inaugurated at the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Means of transportation would be maximised and air services will also be started for the convenience of devotees and tourists to reach Ujjain.
Yadav was having a chat with electronic media representatives on Wednesday after inspecting ongoing works for the convenience of devotees and tourists visiting Mahakal Temple in Ujjain.
Yadav received information from the concerned officials regarding the quality of the works and gave necessary instructions.
Yadav said that the people of Madhya Pradesh are grateful to the Prime Minister as the devotees are visiting in a large number. Keeping in view the influx of visitors, the need for air services is being felt. He said that an action plan will be chalked out for helipad and airport at Ujjain.
Yadav said that tourists coming to Malwa region do visit Ujjain for Mahakal Darshan. Preparations have been started in view of the Simhastha. The effort is to ensure darshan of Baba Mahakal easily and the disabled, elderly people and children can have darshan quickly. People having religious-spiritual beliefs can visit various museums along with Mahakal Lok and understand Sanatan culture.
