Our government is committed to make Jharkhand an ideal state, where every person will be socio-economically and educationally strong. There will be no discrimination against anyone in the society. Everyone will get their rights with full respect. The people of the state will get better education and health facilities. No elderly person will remain without pension. The youth will have employment. Every field will have water throughout the year. Farmers, labourers and women will be empowered,” said Chief Minister Champai Soren while addressing the inauguration-foundation stone laying ceremony of various development schemes at Town Hall, Seraikela Kharsawan on Saturday.
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is one of the richest states in the country in terms of mineral resources. The country and the world are shining with the minerals like coal, iron, copper, gold and uranium here. But, the tribals and indigenous people of this state could not get its benefit. Even today the tag of poverty and backwardness is attached to them. Now our government is determined to advance the local people here and all appropriate steps are being taken in this direction.
The Chief Minister said that it has been more than 23 years since Jharkhand became a separate state, but no meaningful efforts have been made to solve the basic problems here. After the formation of the government in 2019 under the leadership of Hemant Soren, the process of solving the basic problems here started. Steps were taken towards empowering the people through various schemes. The work he started to bring Jharkhand into the category of developed states will continue. According to his thinking, we will work with full strength to change the picture and destiny of Jharkhand.
The Chief Minister said that providing food, clothing and shelter to every person in the state is one of the top priorities of the government. He said that by the year 2027, every person in the state will have his own permanent house. Our government will provide permanent houses to 20 lakh people under Abua Awas Yojana. In the first phase, houses of two lakh beneficiaries have been approved and after 3 months, house approval letters will be given to 9 lakh people simultaneously.
The Chief Minister said that the work of strengthening the basic infrastructure of the state is going on at a rapid pace through various schemes. Nearly 15 thousand kilometers of rural roads are being constructed in the state and steps have been taken towards providing water to the fields through underground pipelines. To increase connectivity between city and village, Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojana has been started. At the same time, under the Phulo-Jhano Ashirwad Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 50 thousand is being given to the women selling liquor to provide them with a respectable livelihood. Systems like electricity, water and roads are being improved in the industrial areas of the state. The government's plan to preserve and develop all the religious and tourist places of this state is proving effective.
The Chief Minister said that the society will progress only when people are educated. Keeping this in mind, the government is committed to providing better education to the children here. In this series, Schools of Excellence have been opened on the lines of private schools. The scholarship amount has been increased three times. To ensure that girls do not miss out on their education, they are being linked to Savitribai Kishori Samriddhi Yojana. The government is giving 100% scholarships for higher education abroad. Children are being given financial assistance to become engineers, doctors and officers. At the same time, through the credit card scheme, education loans of up to Rs 15 lakh are being easily provided to poor and needy students, so that they can have a better future.
The Chief Minister said that Seraikela-Kharsawan has been the traditional and historical identity of the district. This entire area is very rich in terms of art and culture. The Chhau dance here is world famous. The artists here have been playing an important role in taking this dance art far ahead. We will further strengthen our inherited art and culture. For this, Chhau Dance Art Academy will soon be formed. At the same time, there is a lot of tourism potential in this area. In such a situation, efforts have been started towards making it a tourism hub.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister gifted 220 schemes to Seraikela-Kharsawan district. Of these, 16 schemes were inaugurated and foundation stones of 204 schemes were laid. Rs 334 crore 12 lakh will be spent on these schemes. The important scheme whose foundation stone was laid includes Marine Drive on Kharkai River. He also said that Marine Drive will be developed in such a way that people will be able to come here and know the philosophy, philosophy and history of the tradition, art and culture of this place.
On this occasion, MP Geeta Koda, MLA Dasrath Gagrai and Savita Mahato, District Council President Sonaram Bodra, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary of Urban Development Department Arwa Rajkamal and Director of SUDA Amit Kumar were present. The Divisional Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner of the district and other officials were present.
