CM hands over Abua Awas approval letter to 28,295 beneficiaries

Chief Minister CHmapai Soren today handed over approval letters to a total of 28 thousand 295 beneficiaries of Abua Awas Yojna and transferred Rs 84 crore 88 lakh 50 thousand as the first installment to their bank accounts through DBT in Hazaribag. These include 11648 beneficiaries from Hazaribagh, 4236 from Ramgarh, 7820 from Chatra and 4591 from Koderma.

Addressing people on the occasion in Hazaribag, the CM said that food, clothing and shelter are the basic needs of everyone. The government is determined to ensure that no person in the state will be deprived of this. He said that today every elderly, widow and disabled person is getting pension. Providing free food grains to more than 20 lakh beneficiaries through green ration cards. The poor are being given dhoti, saree and lungi twice a year. Under the Abua Awas Yojana, our government has taken steps towards providing three-room furnished permanent houses to 20 lakh homeless, poor and needy. By the year 2027, no person in this state will be forced to live in dilapidated and dilapidated houses. Everyone will have their own permanent house.

The CM said that in the year 2019, our government had got the mandate for five years. Hemant Soren took over the responsibility of Chief Minister. For the last 4 years, under his able leadership, he was working to give a new direction to the development of the state. We are working to take forward the policies and plans he made in the public interest in the last 4 years. Our effort is to give a new direction to Jharkhand as per the thinking and vision of Hemant Soren.

The CM said that our government does not just give assurances. We definitely deliver what we say. Whatever schemes have been made by the government in the last 4 years, they have been made keeping in mind the aspirations and expectations of the people. There are schemes for everyone - tribals, Dalits, backward classes, poor, needy, farmers, labourers, students, women. You join these schemes and empower yourself.

He said that today the government is reaching your doorstep directly. Our government has done the work of solving your problems and providing you the benefits of welfare schemes at your doorstep through the program “Aapki Yojana – Aapki Sarkar – Aapke Dwar”. We are directly connected with the public and any kind of middleman will not be tolerated in government schemes. Officials have been instructed to maintain complete transparency in the schemes. If any kind of discrepancy is found in the Abua Housing Scheme, action will be taken against the concerned persons and officers and personnel.

The CM said that the government is committed to empowering the farmers. Today, the work of supplying water to the fields through underground pipelines is going on at a fast pace. Our effort is to ensure that every farm has irrigation facilities so that farmers can do farming throughout the year. At the same time, the government is also making efforts towards promoting industries. Basic infrastructure like electricity, water and roads are being strengthened in all the industrial areas of the state. To provide employment to the youth, recruitment is being done on a large scale. The government has also made a law to give 75 per cent jobs to locals in private sector institutions.

The CM said that now even the children of the poor will become engineers, doctors and officers. Now lack of money will not become a hindrance in children's education. The government has taken many steps to improve the education system. Schools of Excellence have been opened to provide quality education to poor children on the lines of private schools. The amount of scholarship has been increased three times. So far 9 lakh girl students have benefited from Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana. The government is providing financial assistance for everything from preparation for competitive exams to courses like medical and engineering. Students are being linked to the Guruji Credit Card Scheme. The government is giving 100% scholarships for higher education abroad.

On this occasion, ministers Satyanand Bhokta and Badal, Fagu Besra (with the status of Minister of State), MLAs Vinod Kumar Singh and Amit Kumar Yadav, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey and Secretary of Rural Development Department Chandrashekhar were present.
