As part of the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Indore Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh inspected the strong room, voting material distribution site and vote counting site located at Government Polytechnic College, Jhabua.
The layout of the entire strong room was explained through a plan by Collector and District Election Officer Jhabua Neha Meena. Under this, information related to the route of voting material distribution site, separate routes for EVMs and representatives of political parties at the counting site, counting of postal ballots at the counting site was made available.
During the inspection, the Divisional Commissioner directed that fire safety equipment and arrangements related to drinking water should be taken care of at the entire site. Barricading should be done between the EVMs and the route for representatives of political parties. Availability and operation of CCTV cameras should be ensured. Colorful sign boards should be installed for separation of each site. There should be continuous monitoring of EVM security by the administration and police. It should be ensured that the distribution of election material is without any problem and the counting of votes takes place as per schedule. Inspector General of Police, Indore Rural, Anurag directed to make proper arrangements regarding the stay of the Special Force.
