Persistent efforts are being made to increase the voting percentage in the urban areas of the state on the direction of Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar. He himself is continuously making surprise visits to the urban areas of the State and the headquarters officials are also continuously visiting the areas and monitoring them. Cooperation is also being sought from the administrators of all municipal bodies.
In the same sequence, in the light of the guidelines of the Election Commission, various campaigns are also being run in urban areas across the state regarding awareness of 'voting with family' i.e. 'family voting'.
Administrative Service officer Sanjay Kumar's song on "Family Voting" is also being liked.
The song "Chalo Sabhi Parivar Ke Sang Mein..." related to the sixth phase i.e. the appeal to come to the polling booth along with the family on 25th May is also being liked a lot at this time. The song has been written and sung by Sanjay Kumar, who is currently posted as Deputy Electoral Officer (Headquarters) in the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer. He is also the State Nodal Officer for Media and Social Media in the department. Sanjay Kumar himself is very active on social media.
In the context of the song, he says that just as we all go out with the whole family during various festivals, in the same way we must reach the booth with our family members on the day of voting. If the minor members of the family who have not yet become voters will at least go to the polling booth along with the elders and see the great festival of democracy from outside, then a new feeling will awaken in them. Since they are also the voters of the future, the natural tendency to vote will awaken in them too. This song also includes appeals related to moral voting, fearless voting and wise voting.
