On the instruction of Collector Dewas Rishav Gupta and under the guidance of Assistant Excise Commissioner Rajnarayan Soni , on Wednesday the joint team of the district led by S I Rajkumari Mandloi inspected village Bajrang Garh and Barjai of Excise Circle Bagli A.
A search was conducted in the drains located in the forest, in which many mobile distilleries were found, which were destroyed and Mahua Lahan and liquor were recovered. Since the liquor manufacturers saw the Excise staff from a distance and fled into the forest, in the process, 80 liters of hand kiln liquor and liquor were recovered. 1500 kg of Mahua Lahan was recovered, Lahan was duly destroyed after taking sample on the spot, total 06 cases in the proceedings were registered under Section 34 (1) of Madhya Pradesh Excise Act 1915 and the market value of the seized material was taken under investigation, approximately Rs 1,66,000.
