Food festival organised on the theme of Elections 2024

In order to increase public participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024, a grand Election Food Festival was organized by the District Administration, Hazaribagh through SVEEP Cell. Through these activities, information was given among the voters about the importance of voting and their rights. Under the sweep program organized on March 22, Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar as the chief guest, District Election Officer Nancy Sahay, IG BSF as the chief guest of the Election Food Festival, inaugurated the program formally by lighting the lamp. The entire outline of this program was based on the Election in India theme.

Addressing the gathering, Kumar said that this time's election is important for many reasons. The festival of elections is the pride of the country. It has to be celebrated in festive mode. We are all preparing for the elections with the thought that voting should be conducted in a smooth and peaceful manner. Around 4 lakh people have been deputed from across the state for peaceful elections. He said that in this election, votes will be cast in 29521 polling stations in different phases on scheduled dates. I appeal to everyone that on the day of voting, every person must exercise his/her franchise along with his/her family.

District Election Officer Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay said that many activities are being organized at the district level with the thought that everyone should participate in peaceful, fear-free and fair elections. In this series, today we all have participated in the Election Food Festival organized at Curzon Ground under the SVEEP program. Appealing to all the visitors present, he said that do not consider the voting day as a holiday, rather every person should come out of their homes and vote on 20th May.

Saregama fame Shalini Dubey enthralled the guests with her wonderful presentation along with the inauguration song. The fashion show related to Sohrai Art infused energy among the chief guest as well as all the people present.

This program was organized with the objective of creating awareness about voting among the urban voters and ensuring their enthusiastic participation in the inclusive electoral process.

This food festival was completely based on the theme of elections, under which various attractive programs were included. For example, rock band show, group dance, fashion show, mimicry show, folk dance, fusion music, painting exhibition, poetry competition, street drama and delicious Jharkhandi food are included. 33 different types of stalls were set up in this food festival.

In this entire event, there were local artists, students and youth participants who presented various election based programs.

Election related posters made by the students of local Naman Vidya Vidyalaya were displayed through the Election Art Gallery. The Chief Guest appeared quite impressed while visiting the Election Art Gallery.

Those citizens who wanted to participate in this program were given entry after downloading the Voter Help Line App. The sticker of Hazaribagh will vote with you was also distributed.

Deputy Election Officer Maa Dev Priya, Senior Nodal Officer of Sweep Cell Sulochana Meena, Nodal Officer Rohit Kumar and others played an important role in the successful conduct of the entire program.
