In the state capital a man slit throat his 8 year old daughter and dumped her in bushes assuming her dead in Koh-e-Fiza area on Monday.

After regaining consciousness, the girl reached the road soaked in blood and asked for help. After this the police took the injured girl to the hospital.

The incident took place near Milan Wedding Hall in the Kohefiza area on Monday night at 10 pm. The police have registered a case of attempt to murder and arrested the accused father.

Assistant Sub Inspector Ram Prakash said that the name of the girl's father is Tej Singh Lodhi. He had taken her away from home asking her to go to his elder brother's house. He committed the crime near Milan marriage hall.

The accused thought that the daughter would die after slitting her throat but, as soon as she regained consciousness, the girl got up from the bushes and came to the road. Blood was flowing from the girl's neck. There she asked for help. After this the police got information.

Police station in-charge Brajendra Marskole said that the interrogation of the accused is still going on. He has told that he was very upset with the girl, she used to harass him throughout the day. When he did not listen to what he said, he committed the crime. At present the reason is not clear.

The girl is the daughter of Lodhi Tej Singh's first wife. Tej Singh works at a tent house. Tila lives in a rented house in Jamalpur, originally from Sagar district.

The injured girl is admitted in Hamidia Hospital. Her mother is present with her. Mother and child said that it was getting dark, father stopped the vehicle after this someone came from behind and gave money and slit throat. However, in the statement given at night, the girl had named her father as the accused. He told the police that it was his father who slit his throat. The accused is being questioned by the police.
