--Was Cong nominee in 2019

: The upcoming general election 2024 in Ganjam is going to be tough and interesting this time, since the electoral battle field is going to witness more independent candidates, both for MP and MLA seats, causing worry for the major political parties.

V Chandra Sekhar Naidu (57), a former Congress leader who unsuccessfully contested from Brahmapur Parliamentary constituency in 2019 general election on Congress ticket, has announced here on Wednesday that he is going to contest from Brahmapur Lok Sabha seat again in 2024 as an independent candidate.

“To contest as an independent candidate, I neither need permission from Congress nor from any other political party; I need only your permission,” he said pointing out to the public. He also said that he would contest from the Brahmapur seat not to divide votes of Congress or any other party.

Naidu is the director of M/s Tarini Group of Companies (power sector industry) and a resident of East of Kailash, New Delhi.
