New emergency care ward and ICU at Kasturba hospital, BHEL

SM Ramanathan, Executive Director, BHEL, Bhopal on Friday inaugurated the new emergency care ward and ICU with modern facilities in Kasturba Hospital BHEL, Bhopal.

On this occasion BK Singh, General Manager (HR), President of Ladies Club, Sangeeta Ramanathan, Avinash Chandra, General Manager (WEX, MOD, and LGX) and Dr Alpana Tiwari, Chief Medical Services, Kasturba Hospital, all the General Managers, members of various unions, President and General Secretary, members of Medical Advisory Committee and Town Advisory Committee, doctors, nurses, officers and employees of Kasturba Hospital were present in large numbers. Everyone visited the newly developed emergency ward and ICU with modern facilities.

Addressing the gathering, Ramanathan said that BHEL management is committed to provide better medical care to all employees, retired employees and their dependents. He informed about the availability of new doctors as well as other new facilities available in the hospital. He further said that the renovated I.C.U with the creation of casualty ward, will provide the patients with much better facilities. He also assured that every possible effort will be made to increase the facilities of the hospital.

In the program BK Singh appealed to all the people to follow the protocols of the new ICU and said that new machines will also be purchased as far as possible to provide better medical facilities to the patients.

Describing the achievements of the year 2023-24, Dr. Tiwari said that 6 general duty medical officers and one orthopedic specialist doctor have joined the hospital and many new machines have arrived in radiology, pathology, pediatric and physiotherapy.

Two new Doctors have also come in the DNB department. Super specialist neurologist, neuro surgeon, nephrologist, cardiologist are continuously providing their services in the hospital.

Medical and Township Advisory Committee, presidents and general secretaries of all unions were present in the program. Everyone assured of full cooperation in following the protocols of new casualty and ICU.

The program was conducted by Dr Rimmi Sethi, Consultant (Eye) and vote of thanks was given by Dr. (Mrs.) Pamela Sachdev, General Manager (Gynecology).
