Haryana Health, Family Welfare and Ayush Minister Anil Vij on Tuesday announced that Panchkarma centers will be established in every city of the state. In addition, tourism wellness centers will also be set up in tourist places, he added.

Presiding over a review meeting with officials of the Ayush department, Vij said that the recruitment of 5500 Ayush yoga assistants will take place, and they will be assigned the responsibility of yoga training in prestigious parks, dharamshalas and community centers in urban areas. Similarly, Ayush yoga inspectors/coaches will also be recruited through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam. Additionally, he instructed that all vacant posts in the Ayush department be filled immediately. Vij emphasized the appointment of yoga assistants in all villages of the state to spread yoga even in remote rural areas. He suggested conducting yoga training programs in urban areas to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga among the people.

Vij issued directives to conduct training programs for Ayush yoga assistants at the district and state levels. He also suggested creating software for yoga assistants to track their presence. Furthermore, he directed officials to identify and improve each yoga center for better facilities. Vij informed that 1121 Vyamshallas are under construction in the first phase, with 656 of it  hand over to the Ayush department. Subsequently, 892 yoga assistants have been appointed in yoga centers and community spaces. In the next phase, 1353 new yoga centers have been earmarked, he added.
