Ralhan expounds towering leadership of Odisha CM

Thursday, 11 April 2024 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

: Odisha-based entrepreneur and environmentalist Dr Gaurav Ralhan who is currently at Zimbabwe to speak at the TEDx Talk at Harare, has given his testimonial in the book ‘Towering Leadership’, elucidating the good governance of Odisha.

The book “Towering Leadership: A Saga on Empathetic Governance” authored by Prime Abhilas, explains how the Chief Minister of Odisha has been greasing the wheels for transgenders, blazing a trail for women empowerment among other things.

Dr Ralhan who owns the largest health and wellness outlet in eastern India, was earlier invited as the ‘guest of honor’ to the Make in Odisha Conclave, by the State Odisha. As per his version mentioned in the book, “Bhubaneswar is the best place to be an entrepreneur, primarily because of the political stability prevalent in the State. While politicians are generally known to be all mouth and no trousers, our Hon’ble CM is a breed apart. The most encouraging feature of Odisha’s investment-promotion strategy is to invest in people. Odisha seeks to create a niche in the skill ecosystem of the country so that availability of ‘Skilled-in Odisha’ becomes a parameter of quality for investors.”

Dr Ralhan who is visiting Africa, courtesy the Director of Fabusse Africa, states that Odisha has experienced multifaceted development under Naveen Patnaik’s leadership. Under his direction, Odisha has gone from being a backward, heavily indebted State to one of India’s fastest-growing, most fiscally responsible States.

Dr Ralhan in his testimonial added that, “Odisha’s fiscal prudence and economic management have been held in high esteem across India. Odisha is one of the few States in the country having adequate revenues to undertake large scale infrastructure projects. Odisha’s investor-friendly initiatives and empathetic yet highly effective governance has put the entrepreneurs of Odisha on a journey of progress and prosperity.”

The book has also been translated into Odia language under the name ‘Katha Kaam, Kama Besi’ which is authored by Prime Abhilas and co-authored by Barendra Kumar. Both the English and Odia versions of the book will be released this month.
