Reward of rs 3,000 each has been announced for the arrest of the then Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Finance Controller of Rajiv Gandhi University of Technology.
In the month of March Dr. Mohan Sen, Registrar of Rajiv Gandhi University of Technology, Sunil Kumar, the then Vice-Chancellor, R.S. Rajput, the then Registrar, Hrishikesh Verma, the then Finance Controller, Kumar Mayank, Dalit Sangh, Sohagpur and others, for the irregularities and unauthorized criminal conspiracy in the University in the last few years by transferring the University's funds of Rs 19.48 crore to personal accounts.
A report was registered in Gandhinagar police station, Bhopal and based on the complaint a case under section 420A, 467A, 468A, 120th, A409 IPC 7A 13(1) and 13 (2) Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 and (Amendment Act) was registered.
In the investigation of the case was started by the Assistant Police Commissioner Bairagarh Urban Bhopal under the guidance of senior officers and the accused Kumar Mayank has been arrested in the case on March 22 who is under judicial custody.
In the case, the facts of transferring Rs 19.48 crore of government funds of the university to private accounts and embezzling the amount were found proved against the accused Sunil Kumar Gupta, Rakesh Singh Rajput, Hrishikesh Verma by preparing fake documents and obtaining financial benefits and the above three were found guilty. A search has been conducted for the accused who are not found at home and are hiding to avoid arrest.
For the arrest of accused Sunil Kumar Gupta, Rakesh Kumar Rajput, Hrishikesh Verma, a reward of Rs 3000 each has been announced by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-04, City Police Bhopal on March 31 and for the arrest of the above accused.
To increase the amount of reward announcement, a letter has been sent by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-04 to the Additional Commissioner of Police, City Police, Bhopal.
A letter has been sent as per rules to issue a look out notice against accused Sunil Kumar Gupta and accused Rakesh Singh Rajput.
