Nishatpura police have booked four miscreants for cheating a woman to the tune of Rs 9 lakh in the name of facilitating a job; search for the accused has been started.

A case of fraud has been reported in the Karond area after 4 fraudsters cheated a woman by depositing money online on the pretext of getting her a job. It is being told that the accused got around Rs 9 lakh deposited in their accounts by the woman. The accused had got this money transferred online. The woman has lodged a complaint about this in the police station. The police have registered a case under section 420 of the IPC against the accused and started action in the case.

Nishatpura police station in-charge of Bhopal said that Manorama Thakur (55) is a resident of Roop Nagar Colony Karond. She is a class IV employee in the Municipal Corporation. Manorama got a call from the accused Neeraj Sharma. Neeraj told him that election time is going on. Due to which a vacancy has emerged for a job in Railways. Neeraj said that I can get your daughter a job in Railways. The accused demanded Rs 15 lakh from the woman to get her a job.

Accused, Neeraj got his three other associates Ankit, Rahul and Sunil to talk to the woman. Neeraj described his three friends as railway employees who would help the woman in getting a job. He asked the woman to deposit the money in small portions in the accounts of all of them. Without thinking anything, the woman transferred Rs 9 lakh online to the accounts of the accused. After which the accused stopped picking up the woman's phone.

After this incident, the woman lodged a complaint in the police station. The police took all the information from the woman as to how many accounts she had deposited money into. Police has started searching for the accused.
