The Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) held the Space Defence Expo 2.0 on Saturday as part of its techno-cultural fest, Samavesh x Vasaunt. Organised by the Idea Innovation Cell, the event promises a showcase of rocketry and space exploration.
The Expo features various rocket models from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), highlighting India's expertise in missile and rocket systems. One of the focal points is ISRO's Space on Wheels initiative, offering students a live space experience to foster scientific curiosity.
During the three-day programme, distinguished scientists from ISRO will be there to educate the attendees about rocket and satellite launch vehicle operations, with an objective to inspire the next generation of space enthusiasts. The Water Rocket Event, a technical yet enjoyable event, will allow students to demonstrate their innovation in water rocketry.
The Idea Innovation Cell will unveil its self-made Rover, marking Odisha's first-ever student team Rover launch. Moreover, VSSUT's technical clubs will showcase their projects, highlighting the university's engineering prowess. The Rover launch on March 25 will serve as a conclusion to this extraordinary event.
