Students from the Prestige Institute of Engineering Management and Research (PIEMR) and other engineering colleges from the city displayed their athletic prowess in various sports competitions that marked the first phase of the ongoing techno-cultural festival, Urjotsav 2k24.

The second phase, a techno-cultural extravaganza, will kick off on April 01. Dr. Manoj Kumar Deshpande, Senior Director, and Dr. Rajiv Raghuvanshi, Director of Admissions at PIEMR, said that students from around 80 engineering colleges across the city, state, and country will participate in the technical festival. The techno festival will feature a range of competitions, including workshops on topics like Drone-Tech Assembly and Flying, Mastering Total Station, Visual Craft: Video Editing, DevOps Automation, and Mobile and Web App Development, among others.

"Urjotsav aims to foster technical expertise, encourage the practical application of technology, and celebrate the wonders of engineering among students," explained Dr. Deshpande and Dr. Raghuvanshi.

Experts from across the nation will deliver talks on renewable energy, AWS 100 services, and VLSIs for AI. The festival will also host exciting competitions like the Tech-Innovation Project Competition, Decathlon, Technical Paper Presentation, and Extempore.

A vibrant cultural extravaganza featuring inter-college singing, poetry recitation, dance competitions, and a high-octane celebrity night will be organized on April 12 and 13. The final day of Urjotsav will culminate in a felicitation ceremony honoring students who showcase exceptional talent in various competitions.
