Vote for INDI Alliance to bring Hemant Soren out of jail: Kejriwal

Wednesday, 22 May 2024 | PNS | Jamshedpur

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently out on interim bail till June 1 for campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections, addressed a vibrant poll rally in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, in support of JMM candidate Samir Kumar Mohanty.

In his address, Kejriwal said that the 2024 elections are special to save democracy. He said that if the INDI Alliance wins the elections on June 4, Hemant Soren will be among the people outside jail on June 5.

He praised Kalpana Soren, wife of jailed JMM leader Hemant Soren, comparing her to the iconic freedom fighter Jhansi ki Rani for her defiant stance against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "With the intention PM Modi put Soren and me behind bars has backfired on him. AAP governments in Delhi and Punjab and the JMM government in Jharkhand have not collapsed; instead, all AAP and JMM leaders have united against PM Modi," Kejriwal asserted.

Kejriwal criticized the legal actions against Hemant Soren, pointing out that no court has found Soren guilty yet. "An inquiry is underway. So, why is he in jail? This is Modi's 'goondagardi' (hooliganism). There is no court order against me, but I was jailed. Tomorrow, anyone can be jailed," he stated emphatically.

Expressing confidence in the upcoming elections, Kejriwal declared, "We will win all 14 seats in Jharkhand." After his speech, Kejriwal engaged with the crowd by playing a drum, energizing supporters as part of the election campaigning for the I.N.D.I.A bloc in Jamshedpur.

Kejriwal said that the Indi alliance is going to win 14 out of 14 seats in Jharkhand. He said that 2.5 crore people of Delhi are grateful to Hemant Soren because he had delivered oxygen to Delhi during Corona, which saved the lives of many people. He said that dictatorship is going on in the country. If Hemant Soren is sent to jail, then tomorrow Champai Soren will be put in jail. The time has come to answer this. He said that Narendra Modi hates the tribal society.

He thanked Hemant Soren for lending crucial help to Delhi during the pandemic. The CM said that at the time of crisis Jharkhand Government led by Soren reached out to Delhi in combating the situation.

This rally in Jamshedpur marks a significant moment in the ongoing election campaign, highlighting the solidarity and resilience of opposition leaders amidst political turmoil.

Kejriwal recalls his Jamshedpur days

Jamshedpur: In a heartfelt moment during his campaign rally in Jamshedpur, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about his early career days spent in the city. Addressing the crowd, Kejriwal shared his personal connection to Jamshedpur, where he worked with Tata Steel from 1989 to 1992. "This city holds a special place in my heart. I used to stay at the GT Hostel, and those were some of the most formative years of my life," he said, evoking a warm response from the audience.
