What is 'BAG' to the polling in the ensuing lok sabha election?
First this BAG is no school kid's bag or any other bag one holds in hands.
It is a Booth Awareness Group. There are 1796 BAGs in Palamu lok sabha constituency which is 1 BAG each at all the 1796 booths. 1 polling station, 1 BAG. It's as simple as that.

Kundan Kumar further said "BAGs have been promoting and motivating 18 - 19 years old youths to get enrolled in the electoral system if not registered as yet. Just fill form 6 till April 15 and be a proud voter for the first time."
BAG has 32 members headed by the booth level officer. The members are anganwadi sevika and sahayika, para teachers, health workers, sahiyas, Asha workers, Kishori club, gram rozgar sewak, poshan sakhi, krishak mitra, headmasters of the schools, NSS volunteers, NGO of the area etc.
BAG has booth level volunteers too, reminded Kundan Kumar saying "BAG is like a friend urging eligible voters not to sit idle at home but reach a polling station, cast vote and feel proud of being a participator to the democracy in India."
The state chief electoral officer K Ravi Kumar has asked all the district election officers of the 14 lok sabha constituencies here in Jharkhand to activate and energise the BAG to its full capacity.
Sources said in one of the videoconferencing the chief electoral officer K Ravi Kumar asked about BAG and its functioning whether it's in action or the BAG is in sleep mode.
Kundan Kumar reiterated BAG is fully awake, alert and active in mobilising eligibles for voting on dates here May 13 for the Palamu lok sabha seat and May 20 for the Chatra lok sabha constituency.
