“We think global but act local”

Rajneesh Kumar General Manager of Courtyard Marriott talked to THE PIONEER about the resort’s USP and why it is a  no-miss destination for people looking  for an enjoyable retreat

Can you tell us what makes your resort stand out?

Absolutely. Firstly, our resort boasts a unique design and is considered an architectural marvel, attracting guests right from the start. Secondly, we prioritize providing our guests with an unforgettable experience, whether it’s through our accommodations, dining options, or attentive service. At Courtyard Marriott, every individual is treated as a cherished guest, not just a customer, and we adhere to global standards of hygiene, service quality, and food offerings.

Who is your target clientele?

Typically, our guests come from the Delhi NCR region, although we do receive occasional bookings from abroad. Our resort seamlessly blends Marriott’s expertise with local flavours, offering guests a glimpse into rural India while maintaining international standards. We work on the maxim of ‘think global, act local.’

What kind of experience can guests expect during their stay at your resort?

Guests can anticipate an authentic rural experience. We meticulously plan their itineraries to include immersive rural activities such as pottery-making, rural trails, and traditional tasks like butter-making or milking cows. We have ‘chaupal’ where guests can intermingle, sit on charpaais or cots. Our goal is to provide guests with a unique and memorable stay that reflects the charm of rural India.

How well-equipped are you to host conferences and large events like weddings?

Corporate gatherings and weddings are both within our expertise. We have extensive facilities for hosting conferences and seminars, and for weddings, we can accommodate large numbers of guests. In fact, we often reserve the entire resort for wedding parties to ensure an exclusive experience for the participants.

What types of cuisine do you offer to guests?

Our culinary offerings focus on authentic local cuisine that is both delicious and nutritious. Guests particularly enjoy our variety of parathas and other regional specialties.

Lastly, what message would you like to convey to our readers?

I would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to everyone to come and experience firsthand what our resort has to offer. We’re confident that once you visit, you’ll understand the unique charm and hospitality that sets us apart.
