DAO Division under the aegis of Spear Corps hosted a distinguished tri-services delegation from the Higher Defence Management Course (HDMC) Secunderabad at the DAO Drone Lab in Assam. The visit aimed to familiarise the officers with contemporary developments in drone technology and ongoing innovation-oriented initiatives within the Army.
The delegation was briefed on a range of indigenous efforts undertaken by the division to enhance the utility and adaptability of unmanned systems. Select demonstrations showcased capabilities in surveillance-oriented platforms, counter-drone concepts and improvements in repair and maintenance processes. The displays focused on broadly applicable technological approaches that support operational efficiency and responsiveness.
Interactive discussions provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on the evolving role of unmanned systems across various operational contexts. The delegation also gained an appreciation of the Army’s emphasis on self-reliance, innovation and technology-driven preparedness. The visit further strengthened knowledge sharing within the tri-services and reinforced a collective approach to adopting emerging technologies and enhancing future readiness.
