ICICI Prudential settles death claims worth Rs893 crore in H1-FY2026

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has reported an industry-leading claim settlement ratio of 99.33 per cent for the first half of FY2026—the highest among the top life insurance companies in the country.

The company’s average claim settlement turnaround time during this period was just 1.1 days for non-investigated claims. It settled death claims worth Rs893.38 crore in total during the same period. Amish Banker, Chief Operations Officer, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, said, “Our claim settlement process is designed to deliver an enhanced customer experience and we handle every claim with utmost sensitivity. “In H1-FY2026, we achieved a claim settlement ratio of 99.33per cent and our average turnaround time for non-investigated claims was only 1.1 days. We also settled death claims amounting to over Rs893.38 crore during the period,” he said.

“Our customer-first approach and strong focus on digitalisation empower us to deliver quick claim settlements, providing timely financial relief when families need it most. With convenient digital platforms such as our mobile app, WhatsApp, chatbot and website, claimants can easily lodge and track their claims,” he added.

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has posted an industry leading claim settlement ratio of 99.33per cent for H1-FY2026, the highest amongst top life insurance companies in the country.

Importantly, the average claim settlement turnaround time was just 1.1 days for non-investigated claims. Also, during this period, the total value of death claims settled by the Company was at Rs893.38 crore.
