Court denies relief to Goa nightclub owners

A Delhi court on Wednesday refused immediate interim relief to Luthra brothers — Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra — owners of Birch by Romeo Lane’ nightclub in Goa which caught fire and killed at least 25 people on weekend. Meanwhile, another city court allowed the Goa Police a 36-hour transit remand of Ajay Gupta, one of the four owners of the nightclub.

Meanwhile MEA has received a communication from the Government of Goa with regard to Gaurav Luthra and Saurabh Luthra. It is examining the request to revoke the passports under the Passports Act of India, as per extant rules, sources said.

Meanwhile, the Rohini Court of Delhi has sought a response from the Goa Government on the transit anticipatory bail filed by the Luthra brothers .
