An All India Kavi Sammelan was organised by Samriddh Jharkhand and SET Foundation at Audrey House in Ranchi on Sunday. The Kavi Sammelan cum felicitation ceremony was inaugurated by chief guest Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Mahua Maji, real estate promoter Om Prakash Preet, Adani Power official Sanjeev Kumar, Eastern State Construction and Developers Private Limited official Rajendra Sinha, Introlink Interior Company CMD Tanmay Shah, literary worker and social worker Rita Dey by jointly lighting the lamp.
During the welcome speech, Om Prakash Preet expressed admiration for Jharkhand's rich culture and literature, emphasising the importance of literature and art in the State's identity. He also praised the sponsors and their vital role in supporting literary activities. The main sponsors of the event, including Adani Power and Eastern State Construction, were acknowledged for their contributions.
After the welcome speech, the chief guest Dr. Mahua Maji said that the land of Birsa Munda is very rich in terms of literature and culture. “In such a situation, the State has once again become vibrant with such literary activities. From time to time, such events give strength to the literary world. Samriddh Jharkhand and SET Foundation are playing an important role by working in the literary field.†Manjhi also won the hearts of the people with one of her poems where she tried to explain why she is unable to write poetry and also expressed her feelings through poetry.
The felicitation ceremony honored individuals excelling in various fields such as education, health, business, and social work. Among the honorees were Ashutosh Kumar (Cyber Security), Dr. Sukhmani, Dr. Suraj Prasad, and Aanchal Jain (Phonics Trainer), along with several others from various sectors.
The Kavi Sammelan began with poets from different states presenting their works. Notable poets included Niloptal Mrinal, Vibha Singh, Nagendra Kesari, and Dhananjay Jaipuri. The audience was captivated by their performances, which filled the venue with cheers. Dhananjay Jaipuri was proposed for the post of the president of the entire program while Aftab Rana- a senior theatre artist and film director was selected as the announcer.
