BJP asks AAP to reply to alliance partner Congress on allegations of CAG reports

Thursday, 23 January 2025 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Wednesday asked the ruling government to reply to their national alliance partner Congress on the allegations of suppressing the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports and asserted that they will table the reports on the first day of assembly session if voted to power.

This comes after the senior Congress leader Ajay Maken alleged that the AAP government committed a corruption of Rs 382 crore in the healthcare sector. During a press conference, Maken said that they used to make allegations against the Congress government on the basis of CAG reports. “At present, 14 CAG reports are showing serious corruption charges against the AAP government,” he said.

Responding to the claims by Congress against AAP, Sachdeva said, “Today, a Congress leader has possibly raised the dark truth of the COVID era based on a leaked CAG report from the media. Congress and AAP are part of a national alliance, and Delhi hopes that Kejriwal, if not answerable to the public, will at least respond to his national ally about the dark truth of the COVID era.”

He alleged that Arvind Kejriwal is a machine that manufactures lies and is an expert in spreading misinformation by asking fabricated questions. “Kejriwal does not hesitate to violate constitutional systems to hide the truth, as he has been suppressing the CAG reports since 2022,” he stated.

Describing the AAP supremo as an ‘anti-constitutional ruler’ who does not believe in answering the opposition’s questions, he said, “Over the past two months, based on leaked CAG reports in the media, we have repeatedly asked questions about the liquor scam and the Sheesh Mahal construction scam. Instead of answering questions, Kejriwal evades andchanges the topic.”
