Thursday, 06 February 2025 | PNS | Ranchi

Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that with the speed at which technology is changing today, it is very important to have better relations, coordination and participation between the states to build a strong and developed nation. In this context, summits like Global Business organized in the states play a very decisive role. This helps a state to develop better business relations with other states and countries. Investment and new technology create new possibilities of development.

The Chief Minister was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the eighth edition of the two-day Bengal Global Business Summit - 2025 starting today at Biswa Bangla Convention Center, New Town, Kolkata, West Bengal. Many dignitaries, entrepreneurs and investors from the country and abroad are participating in this summit being organized under the chairmanship of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The Chief Minister said that in this summit, I am getting a chance to meet guests from the country and abroad and people associated with the industry. This will give an opportunity to know and understand how we can move forward towards the overall development of Jharkhand with the cooperation of investors. With this hope and expectation, I invite the entrepreneurs and investors who have come to the Bengal Global Business Summit - 2025 to Jharkhand. You invest, so that the state of Jharkhand also progresses rapidly in terms of development.

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is a state in the country, where about 40 per cent of the mineral resources of the country are found. Jharkhand is the largest producer of raw materials required for many minerals and industries. In such a situation, this state has been playing an important role in the country's economy. The Chief Minister said that many mineral based industries have been established here for a long time. Many industrial houses have invested here. But, in the current environment, there is a need to take this state further. For this, new initiatives are being taken to set up new industries here.

The Chief Minister said that along with mineral based industries in Jharkhand, there are immense possibilities of development and investment in many areas like art, culture and tourism. Jharkhand is the largest tassar producing state in the country, so this state can also move forward in the textile sector. In terms of art and culture, Jharkhand is counted among the prosperous states. Considering the natural beauty of this place, Jharkhand can become the first choice of investors in the tourism sector. He told the entrepreneurs to come to Jharkhand, the government will give you full support.

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand and West Bengal are very close to each other. Many activities going on in both these states are similar. In such a situation, it is difficult to tell which activity is of Jharkhand and which is of Bengal. Both the states are continuously moving forward with similar activities in many cases. Such initiatives are opening a new path for the overall development of both the states.
