Tuesday, 08 April 2025 | PNS | Ranchi

The State Government's smart phones have started reaching the workers working in the Anganwadi centers of Jharkhand. On Monday, the state's Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey distributed 322 smart phones among Anganwadi workers at the Mandar block office.

This includes the names of 167 workers from Mandar block and 155 workers from Chanho block.

Addressing the program organized on this occasion, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey said that smart phones are not a gift from the government, but a need of Anganwadi workers. "Through this smart phone, they will be able to implement the schemes related to the Women, Child Development and Social Welfare Department on time. Whether it is work related to nutrition tracking or registration related to the Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana. Now with the help of smart phone, they will be able to provide its benefits to the beneficiaries easily," he said.

Tirkey said that no matter what the situation is, happiness is always seen on the faces of Anganwadi workers, whereas due to the negligence of the Central Government, they are not able to get the amount from the Center for 13 months, he said.

"The amount received by the Jharkhand government from the Centre under various schemes has been cut by Rs 5,000 crore. This is not a good sign. The coalition government led by Hemant Soren has always been working for the betterment of Anganwadi workers and will continue to work for them in the future too," the Minister said.

Tirkey said that new Anganwadi centres are to be built in place of dilapidated Anganwadi centres in the state. For this, a list needs to be prepared as soon as possible.

Mandar Block Development Officer  Chanchala Kumari, CDPO Sujata Kumari, Congress Block President Manga Oraon, Jamil Mallick, Seraphina Minj, Sarita Tigga, Naseem Ansari, Shamshul Sheikh, Haji Farooq and others were present in the Mandar block office premises.
